Unless you've been out on a deserted island, by now, you've read about the horrific floods in Texas. Already over 100 persons, from the littlest ages to older, are confirmed deceased.
I ask that you take a minute to remember them, and remember the awful heartache that their families are enduring.
Then, please, take another minute to remember our first responders. While many of these folks are battle hardened, I cannot imagine a worst day than finding the dead body of a child amongst storm debris. They are doing duty beyond what most of us can even imagine. And the trauma of this will remain with them. So remember them, too.
That's all. And if you have a spare moment, hug those you love, or give them a call. If nothing this tragedy was a reminder that life is fleeting and to be cherished.
